A Brief History

Penner Pumpkins started twenty-three years ago as a family hobby.  Every year, the Penner family would plant a row of pumpkins.  In the fall, the family harvested them, put them on a trailer and then the kids would sit at the end of the driveway and sell them.

Now the kids have grown up, and the family has taken it to the next level by creating a business.  For the past several years they have increased in size and they now have several acres of produce.

Penner Pumpkins strives to provide their community with fresh produce during the summer.  In the fall, they sell pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds and fall arrangements.

Farm Activities

While visiting the Scarecrow Forest, there are various activities to keep you busy.  Try our zip lines, train rides, pumpkin sling shot, pumpkin painting, face painting, corn trail, the farm animal maze, water pump duck races, rope maze & trike track, Betsy (simulated milking cow.)

Market Garden

We have 3 acres of fresh produce to sell during the summer and fall.  We sell all of our produce off of our home yard.  Call to see what is available. 


Kids Play Area

Kids love coming to The Scarecrow Forest and can stay busy for several hours.  Kids aged 3-12 will love our mega sandboxes filled with toys, a bale tunnel, tire park, a tree fort, slides & corn box. 

Group Info

School BusPenner Pumpkins has several group packages available.  These include Youth Groups, Birthday Parties, Corporate Parties, School Field Trips & Day Cares.  We will plan your party with you so your needs are met.
